Billing for IHP programs is administered by World Learning/SIT. Click here for current program costs.
Program balances are due on July 15 for fall programs and December 15 for spring programs. Special arrangements can be made for receipt of financial aid payments, as these payments are sometimes outside the student’s control. Except for late admissions, bills are normally sent out six weeks prior to the date payments are due. For the year-long Rethinking Globalization program, students must pay for full airfare and half of the tuition and room and board fees by July 15. The remaining balance will be due by December 15. If a student does not make payment on schedule, he/she may be withdrawn for nonpayment.
IHP, in affiliation with World Learning/SIT, maintains billing relationships with a large number of colleges and universities. The payment of program fees by the student through his or her home institution often facilitates the use of existing financial aid and transfer of credit. If SIT/IHP has a billing relationship with your home institution, then you will most likely pay some or all of your IHP program fees directly to the school. If you would like to determine whether your school has a billing arrangement with SIT/IHP, please contact your institution’s study abroad or billing office.
If SIT/IHP does not have a cooperative billing relationship with your home institution, then you will receive a bill directly from World Learning/SIT. Please note that the lack of a billing relationship does not mean you will not be able to use financial aid to help cover the cost of IHP programs. For more information, contact an advisor in your school's study abroad office, or email the SIT Study Abroad office at: student.accounts@worldlearning.org.
If you will be receiving aid from your home institution, including any type of student loan, you must notify World Learning/SIT of the amount. If your school does not have a billing agreement with IHP, you should submit a Financial Aid Information Sheet, available here. This form must be completed by your home school’s financial aid office and returned to World Learning/SIT by July 1 for the fall term and December 1 for the spring term. If your school has a billing agreement with IHP, and you plan to use surplus financial aid to cover costs not paid for by your school, you must submit proof of the surplus funds. You should request a signed letter on letterhead or email from your Director or Assistant Director of Financial Aid or Student Accounts indicating the following:
Letters should be addressed to:
Karen Sprague
Accounts Receivable
World Learning
Kipling Rd.- PO Box 676
Brattleboro, VT 05302
Emails should come directly from your school official, addressed to Karen Sprague at Karen.Sprague@worldlearning.org and James Parker at James.Parker@worldlearning.org.

If you have any questions about this, please contact IHP. If you are uncertain of your school's billing arrangement with IHP, please check with your study abroad office.
Students receiving aid through outside sources, such as private loans, must provide World Learning/SIT with written documentation from that source, stating the net amount of aid and the scheduled date of payment.
Please deduct the total net amount of financial aid you will receive from your bill. The remaining amount is due by July 15 for fall students and December 15 for spring students. Students should confirm with their school's financial aid and study abroad office that all paperwork is complete before leaving the country. This will prevent delays by ensuring, for example, that student signatures aren't missing from any loan documents. Overnight delivery to international addresses is quite expensive and the mail service to some countries can take weeks.
Students who receive financial aid are required to submit a Power of Attorney to IHP. This will help expedite all financial aid payments while students are away.
All students (whether they do or do not have financial aid) must sign and return the Letter of Financial Responsibility to IHP. It must be notarized with the official stamp of a notary public.
Copies of the documents need to be returned to the IHP office. If you have questions regarding these forms, please contact IHP or the World Learning/SIT Accounts Receivable Office (see below). Visit the Confirmation Materials page to download these forms.
IHP, in affiliation with World Learning/SIT does not generally offer payment plans. If the student's home school has a cooperative billing arrangement with IHP, he or she may be able to continue his or her regular payment plan through the home school. All balances are due by July 15 for fall programs and December 15 for spring programs, except for financial aid transfer monies. For students who do not receive financial aid from their home college, information about loans with installment payments is available on the Key Education Resources Website (http://www.key.com/educate) or call (800) 225-6783.
